NEW YORK U.S. Steel Corp. and NLMK USA Inc. have joined other flat-rolled producers in increasing published prices on flat-rolled steel products.
Pittsburgh-based U.S. Steel has increased base pricing for all new flat-rolled spot orders by a minimum of $20 per net ton, AMM understands, while Portage, Ind.-based NLMK USA said in a Dec. 10 letter to customers it had increased prices for all products by 4 percent effective immediately.
The moves follow similar action last week by Nucor Corp. (amm.com, Dec. 6) as well as ArcelorMittal USA Inc. and AK Steel Corp. (amm.com, Dec. 7).
