NEW YORK DLA Strategic Materials on Tuesday offered 1,000 tons of high-carbon ferrochrome, along with 420 tons each of 0.15- and 0.11-percent low-carbon ferrochrome, according to its website.
The Fort Belvoir, Va.-based agency in November sold its first high-carbon ferrochrome since May 2011 (amm.com, Dec. 10).
Both the high-carbon ferrochrome and the 0.15-percent low-carbon ferrochrome are from the agencys Point Pleasant, W.Va., depot, while the 0.11-percent low-carbon material is from its Ravenna, Ohio, depot.
