NEW YORK Union Pacific Railroad Co. has brought a $118,000 lawsuit against AFCO Steel LLC for allegedly failing to pay extra charges it accrued while holding onto Union Pacifics delivery rail cars for longer than the parties had agreed.
AFCO requested freight shipments from the railroad franchise that were delivered in July and August 2011, according to the lawsuit, but AFCO allegedly didnt accept deliveries of some rail cars and didnt return them within the permitted time frame.

"Despite Union Pacifics demand for payment, AFCO has failed and refused to satisfy the charges and has unpaid debt to Union Pacific," according to the suit.
