PITTSBURGH Metalico Inc. has promoted Michael J. Drury to chief operating officer for all operations and tapped Jeff Bauer as its Ohio Valley regional vice president of operations, both effective Jan. 1.
Drury has been serving as chief operating officer of the Cranford, N.J.-based companys platinum group metals and lead fabricating segments since 2011, the company said. In his new post, Drury will also oversee the scrap metals recycling segment.
Drury will still be involved in acquisitions, investor relations and debt management, Metalico said, noting that he has been an executive vice president and director of the company since its inception in 1997.
Bauer, a 30-plus-year veteran of the industry, is general manager of subsidiary Metalico Akron Inc. in Ohio. He will manage all operations in northeastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania. Bauer will also oversee Metalicos new facility in Cleveland, which opened this week (amm.com, Dec. 18).
"Mike and Jeff are seasoned veterans. Were fortunate to have the benefit of their experience and commitment as we continue to grow and integrate our scrap network, particularly by extracting intercompany synergies," president and chief executive officer Carlos E. Agüero said in a statement.
