SHANGHAI — China has approved an export quota of 40,672 tonnes of antimony and antimony products for the first half of next year, according to its Ministry of Commerce.

The first-half quota—7,128 tonnes of antimony and 33,544 tonnes of antimony oxide—accounts for 68.5 percent of 2013’s total export quota of 59,400 tonnes, unchanged from 2012.

The ministry also announced an export quota of 10,200 tonnes of tin for the first six months, down 5.6 percent from the first half of 2012, accounting for 60 percent of the full-year quota of 17,000 tonnes.

Other first-half export quotas include 11,436 tonnes of tungsten, 24,401 tonnes of molybdenum and 3,233 tonnes of silver.
