NEW YORK — Former Aleris International Inc. raw materials specialist Brenda Thomas has joined Charleston, S.C.-based High Tide Metals Inc. as a nonferrous scrap metal broker and trader.
Thomas, who is based in Owensboro, Ky., will be responsible for expanding High Tide’s brokerage business as well as purchasing for the company’s scrap processing facility.
Thomas has worked in the industry for more than 30 years, including at Metalsco Inc., Nichols Aluminum LLC, OmniSource Corp. and Powercom Services Inc.
