DLA Strategic Materials sold 1,000 tons of high-carbon ferrochrome and 840 tons of low-carbon material in December—the full amount offered by the government agency last month—for $3.36 million.

The buyers were Stamford, Conn.-based Glencore Ltd.; Cincinnati-based Hickman, Williams & Co.; and Medima LLC, Clarence, N.Y.

The Fort Belvoir, Va.-based agency also sold 270,300 pounds of tungsten ores and concentrates in December for $3.66 million to Global Tungsten & Powders Corp., a Towanda, Pa.-based unit of Austrian refractory metals and composite materials manufacturer Plansee SE; New York-based trading house ICD Group Metals LLC, a subsidiary of ICD Group International Inc.; and Virgin Islands-based Comsup Minerals Ltd.
