CHICAGO Construction Supply LLC has finished building a new facility to house its expanding rebar fabrication operation.
The Goodyear, Ariz.-based construction supply and distribution company said that the 6,000-square-foot expansion, which includes highway access to Interstate 10, represents the first phase of a manufacturing site that will grow to 10 acres.
"Construction Supplys investment is necessary to match the increasing supply demands of our customers," company founder and chief executive officer Andy Roediger said in a statement. "The new facility will increase the efficiency of our fabrication process and enable us to scale up our production."
Construction Supply said it has notched triple-digit sales growth since it began operations during the collapse of the Arizona housing market, allowing it to invest in inventory and equipment. "The downturn, while very significant, created a unique opportunity to incubate and grow a new supply company," Roediger said.
Construction Supply said it services contractors and industrial customers from a 15,000-square-foot warehouse and store next to the new facility. Among the products the firm carries are rebar, metal products and concrete accessories.
