NEW YORK — Doe Run Co. has hired Mark Yingling as vice president of environmental, health and safety.

In his new role, Yingling will manage efforts to identify and implement new approaches to meet increasingly stringent environmental standards, the St. Louis-based lead producer said. He will also be tasked with improving Doe Run’s health and safety performance, including keeping work force blood-lead levels below industry standards, Doe Run said.

Yingling previously held executive positions at a number of mining and energy companies, including Peabody Energy Corp., Gold Fields Mining LLC and Black Stallion Coal Co., the company said.
