NEW YORK — Stainless Pipe & Fitting Supply Co. Inc. has filed a Chapter 7 petition in federal bankruptcy court in California in a move that will see the company liquidate its assets.

The Santa Fe Springs, Calif.-based company cited in the filing assets of less than $50,000 and liabilities of between $101,000 and $500,000.

The company could not be reached for comment Thursday.

Among the creditors listed in the petition are Alloy Stainless Products Co. Inc., Totowa, N.J.; GFI Stainless, Modesto, Calif.; Global Stainless Supply Solutions, Gardena, Calif.; PAC Stainless Ltd., Seattle; Stainless Distributors, Odessa, Fla.; Summit Stainless Steel LLC, Santa Fe Springs, Calif.; TW Metals Inc., Los Angeles; Ta Chen International Inc., Long Beach, Calif.; and Valbruna Stainless Inc., a Chino, Calif.-based subsidiary of Italian stainless steelmaker Acciaierie Valbruna SpA.
