CHICAGO — Nucor Corp. has left its raw materials surcharge on engineered hot-rolled and cold-finished bar products unchanged for February, the steelmaker said in a Jan. 10 letter to customers.

February marks the third straight month that the surcharge—based on AMM’s consumer buying price for No. 1 busheling in Chicago—is $220 per ton ($11 per hundredweight).

Over the past 12 months, Nucor’s surcharge on special bar quality (SBQ) bar has ranged from a high of $350 per ton ($17.50 per cwt) last February to lows of $167 per ton ($8.35 per cwt) in August and November.
