NEW YORK DLA Strategic Materials has offered 1,000 tons of high-carbon ferrochrome as well as 163 tons and 560 tons of 0.11-percent and 0.15-percent low-carbon ferrochrome respectively, according to its website.
Both the high-carbon ferrochrome and the 0.15-percent low-carbon ferrochrome are from the agencys Point Pleasant, W.Va., depot, while the 0.11-percent low-carbon material is from its Ravenna, Ohio, depot.
The Fort Belvoir, Va.-based agency also offered 731,066 pounds of tungsten.
The various tungsten ores and concentrates are located at facilities in Hammond, Ind.; Scotia, N.Y.; and Warren, Ohio.
The agency has already reported sales of ferrochrome and tungsten this year (
