NEW YORK A four-member panel of steel industry experts has been selected to judge AMMs fourth annual Awards for Steel Excellence.
The judges are:
Thomas Graham, longtime steel executive with AK Steel Corp., Washington Steel Co., U.S. Steel Group of USX Corp. and Jones & Laughlin Steel Co., and founding member of T.C. Graham Associates;
Jo Isenberg-OLoughlin, AMMs executive editor;
John Lichtenstein, managing director of global metals and APAC natural resources industries for Accenture Plc in Beijing; and
Nick Sowar, global metals sector leader for Deloitte & Touche LLP.
The global awards program will recognize best-in-class performers and innovation in steel and related industries in 15 categories. New for the 2013 awards are categories specific to ferrous scrap brokers and traders, as well as pipe and tube producers and distributors.
The judges will evaluate nominations using a point-based qualitative approach to determine the winners. The nomination and judging processes are audited by and in full compliance with Euromoney/Institutional Investor guidelines and standards to ensure integrity and objectivity.
Nominations are now being accepted for the awards, which will be presented June 18 at the Steel Success Strategies XXVIII Conference in New York. The deadline for nominations is March 15.
