CHICAGO — Russellville, Ark.-based Taber Extrusions LLC has hired former Hydro Aluminum North America Inc. executive Allan Annis to serve as its new president.

Annis, who will oversee Taber’s manufacturing plants in Russellville and Gulfport, Miss., replaces Bill Wetmore, who retired from the aluminum extruder at the end of 2012, the company said.

Prior to joining Taber, Annis served as vice president of Hydro’s southeast region, where he was responsible for the company’s plants in St. Augustine, Fla., and Belton, S.C., Taber said. In addition, Annis has worked as director of lean enterprise at Rockwell Automation Inc., Milwaukee, and as plant manager of two of Rockwell’s facilities, the company said.

"We look forward to being able to profit from Allan’s experience and fresh ideas," Taber sales manager Steve Althardt said in a statement.
