NEW YORK USA Investment Group LLC plans to build a $200-million pipe manufacturing facility in McCleary, Wash., to serve the oil and gas industry.
The mill is expected to employ 400 people by late 2014, when its first phase of production will start, according to McCleary mayor D. Gary Dent and law firm Tse & Associates PS.
The facility will use "rolled steel imported via rail" to make the pipe, they said.
The Bellevue, Wash.-based company expects "rapidly increasing demand for the product due to expanding domestic oil and gas exploration will ensure a successful project," both parties said.
A spokesman for the city declined to comment further, while Bellevue-based Tse & Associates couldnt be reached.
