NEW YORK — Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) distributor Gemaire Distributors will use Luvata Oy’s spray-applied coil corrosion protection for its entire line of HVAC equipment.

Luvata said its water-based synthetic flexible polymer coating offers resistance to moisture, corrosion, ultraviolet rays and high temperatures.

"In coastal environments like Florida, where heat, sand and salt can have a detrimental impact on HVAC/R systems, our customers want the coil-corrosion protection that extends the service life of their system," Gemaire president Ken Connell said in a statement.

Deerfield Beach, Fla.-based Gemaire Group is one of the largest domestic distributors of HVAC equipment.

Luvata supplies a variety of industries, including air conditioning, renewable energy, power generation, automotive, medicine, industrial refrigeration and consumer products.
