NEW YORK — Axel Bartschat, general manager of reinforcing bar and billet sales at trader Coutinho & Ferrostaal Inc., has left the company, AMM understands.

Bartschat, who was in charge of rebar and billet sales in the United States and Latin America, had been at the Houston-based steel trading group for about four years after previously working in the long products division at Deacero SA de CV.

Bartschat and C&F could not be reached for comment.

The steel trading house made a number of internal and organizational changes last summer after its acquisition by Grupo Villacero SA de CV as well as the departure of its top executive, John D. Foster (amm.com, July 31).
