NEW YORK — AK Steel Corp. has named Gregory Hoffbauer controller and chief accounting officer effective Feb. 8.

Hoffbauer, who has been with the West Chester, Ohio-based steelmaker since January 2011, was previously assistant controller, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He replaces Richard S. Williams, who recently resigned from the post (amm.com, Jan. 8).
