NEW YORK — William Taylor has been named president of Allied Tube & Conduit Corp., a subsidiary of Atkore International Holdings Inc., effective Feb. 4.

Taylor was previously president of ITT Interconnect Solutions, a subsidiary of White Plains, N.Y.-based ITT Corp.

"Bill is a strong leader who brings tremendous experience leading complex global manufacturing organizations," John Williamson, president and chief executive officer of Atkore, said in a statement.

Williamson has temporarily overseen operations at Allied since Atkore announced layoffs and corporate restructuring last year. He said at the time he would lead Allied until the new organizational structure had "solidified" and a permanent president could be appointed (amm.com, Aug. 17).

Taylor will be located at Allied’s headquarters in Harvey, Ill.
