NEW YORK — Nova Tube Inc. has raised prices on electric-resistance welded (ERW) pipe due to higher raw material costs, it announced in a letter to customers.

The Montreal-based company increased prices for grade B electric-resistance welded (ERW) pipe (schedules 40 and 80) by $40 per ton and ERW A-795 schedule-10 material by 4 percent, effective at the close of business Feb. 4.

Nova cited the “recent increases in raw material” as the reason for the hike.
