NEW YORK Aluminum fabricator and distributor Tubelite Inc. will open a regional facility in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas in the second quarter.
The Walker, Mich.-based manufacturer and supplier of architectural aluminum storefront, entrance and curtainwall systems is now selecting a site for the 25,000-square-foot-plus facility.
"This new facility will allow us to provide even faster lead times and damage-free shipments to our existing customers in the region through the use of on-site CNC machining for door and frame fabrication, as well as warehousing stock products," Tubelite president Ken Werbowy said in a statement Feb. 12.
Tubelite fought off competition from 12 companies to purchase the extrusion equipment of Sanford, Fla.-based Benada Aluminum Products LLC last year (amm.com, Sept. 11).
Tubelite, a subsidiary of Minneapolis-based Apogee Enterprises Inc., has its primary distribution, warehousing and assembly operations in Walker, Mich., while its Reed City, Mich., facility houses the companys aluminum extrusion operation (amm.com, Dec. 28, 2007).
