CHICAGO — Steel and bearings manufacturer Timken Co. has appointed Eric L. Simms regional sales manager of industrial steel for the Chicago district.

Simms joined Canton, Ohio-based Timken in 2007 as a principal customer service engineer in the steel mobile on-highway group in Detroit. He also served as sales specialist in that group before becoming sales engineer specialist for industrial steel.
