NEW YORK HKI Terminals LLC will stage more than 100 miles of 30-inch heavy-wall pipe for Seaway Crude Pipeline Co. LLCs expansion.
The expansion will twin with the existing Seaway pipeline between Cushing, Okla., and the Gulf Coast.
The pipe will arrive via 580 rail cars, Douglas Kayem, president of Dallas-based pipe distributor Kayem Pipe & Steel Inc., told AMM in an e-mail. Kayem Pipe is the parent company of Corsicana, Texas-based HKI.
The new 512-mile pipeline is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2014, according to Seaways website. The Seaway pipeline is a 50-50 joint venture between Enterprise Products Partners LP and Enbridge Inc.
