CHICAGO Steel processor and distributor Worthington Industries Inc. has named Michael Luh vice president of its Centers of Excellence and Innovation.
Luh, a 20-year veteran of Procter & Gamble Co. (P&G), most recently served as associate design director of household care new business creation at Cincinnati-based P&G. He helped relaunch brands and reinvented the consumer products makers packaging process.
"His ability to successfully drive change and produce innovative thought will benefit all of our businesses," Worthington chairman and chief executive officer John McConnell said in a statement.
Columbus, Ohio-based Worthington formed the Centers of Excellence in 2011 to focus on operating, sales and supply chain management improvements in its operations. The program promotes innovation and efficiencies throughout the company with the goal of producing sustainable increases in performance, the company said.
