CHICAGO Metals fabricator ATW Cos. has relocated its New Britain, Conn.-based Metalform product line manufacturing operations to ATWs Warwick, R.I., facility.
Metalforms and ATWs firearms and defense capabilitieswhich include precision machining, metal injection molding, laser cutting, precision metal tubing and stampinghave been consolidated, chief strategy officer Tracy MacNeal said in a statement.
Metalforms capabilities include deep-drawing, stamping and pistol magazine fabrication. Its products include 38-caliber, 45-caliber and 9-millimeter magazines.
Consolidation of manufacturing operations is expected to improve the reliability and quality of Metalforms magazines and bring a renewed technology focus to new product development, the company said.
ATW precision stamping and tube drawing subsidiary A.T. Wall Co. acquired Metalform in 2011.
