CHICAGO Bonnell Aluminum president Duncan A. Crowdis plans to retire from the extruder effective June 1, parent company Tredegar Corp. said Feb. 22.
Crowdis, 60, will step down from his position as corporate vice president at Tredegar at the same time, the Richmond, Va.-based manufacturer of plastic films and aluminum extrusions said.
Tredegar plans to announce a successor for Crowdis closer to the date of his retirement, the company said.
"Duncan has led Bonnell Aluminum through difficult market conditions, and their strong results are a testament to his leadership," Tredegar president and chief executive officer Nancy Taylor said in a statement.
Crowdis joined Bonnell in 1998 and was elected vice president of Tredegar in 2009, the company said. He was manager of Bonnells Newnan, Ga., facility before being named president of the division in 2005, Tredegar said.
