Themac Resources Group Ltd., which is seeking to reopen a copper-molybdenum-gold-silver mine in New Mexico, has appointed Andrew Maloney as interim chief executive officer and director.

Maloney serves as managing director of Tulla Group Pty. Ltd., his family’s Sydney-based investment office and the majority shareholder in Themac with 68.55 percent of outstanding shares.

He is currently in discussions with financial partners over the closed Copper Flat Mine in Sierra County, New Mexico, which Themac acquired in May 2011. The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company is also working to complete a feasibility study for the project and funding for its construction.
