NEW YORK AA Metals Inc. has filed a lawsuit against United Stainless & Alloy Inc., claiming more than $232,000 in unpaid invoices involving the purchase of stainless steel products.
Orlando, Fla.-based AA Metals filed the suit Feb. 26 in U.S. District Court in Florida, alleging that Hillburn, N.Y.-based Solutions in Stainless Inc.which operates as United Stainless & Alloyhas "failed to timely pay" for Type 304 stainless products ordered and delivered between December 2011 and September 2012.
"Despite repeated demands by the plaintiff, the defendant has refused to pay for the stainless steel products that plaintiff delivered to the defendant," the lawsuit states.
The lawsuit cites counts of breach of contract, unjust enrichment and promissory estoppel. AA Metals is seeking $232,022, plus interest, costs and any further relief determined by the court.
United Stainless couldnt be reached for comment.
