PITTSBURGH OmniSource Corp. is suing Worley Brothers Scrap Iron & Metal Inc., alleging that the recycler has not paid for scrap supplied by OmniSource.
OmniSource said that it orally agreed to sell scrap to the Memphis, Tenn.-based recycler and shipped 135 loads of unprepared steel, unprepared shredder feed, tin can bales and No. 2 heavy melting scrap between March 1 and July 10 last year.
Fort Wayne, Ind.-based OmniSource said that Worley had paid only $1,520 and is seeking $285,040, according to a complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Tennessee.
Worley could not be reached for comment.
