NEW YORK — United Stainless & Alloy Inc. is facing another breach-of-contract lawsuit alleging that it failed to make payments.

Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Ludlum LLC claims that Solutions in Stainless Inc.—doing business as United Stainless & Alloy—owes $303,762 for goods, including Type 304 stainless coil, it supplied to the Hillburn, N.Y.-based company, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court in Pennsylvania earlier this month.

The lawsuit claims that Allegheny sent two letters to United Stainless in February demanding payment of invoices stretching back to May, but United Stainless "has failed and/or refused to pay the full amount owed."

United Stainless could not be reached for comment.

Orlando, Fla.-based AA Metals Inc. filed a similar lawsuit in February in U.S. District Court in Florida, alleging that United Stainless "failed to timely pay" for Type 304 stainless products valued at more than $232,000 ordered and delivered between December 2011 and September 2012 (, Feb. 27).
