NEW YORK — Deere & Co. has named SSAB AB a partner-level supplier for 2012 for its steel plate and ultra-high-strength steel sheet, the Swedish steelmaker said March 7.

SSAB’s plate products are used in Deere’s construction and forestry operations and its sheet steels are used by the Moline, Ill.-based company’s agricultural and turf facilities.

Earlier this year, Charlotte, N.C.-based steelmaker Nucor Corp. was also named a partner-level supplier for its cold-finished bars (amm.com, Jan. 4).
