NEW YORK — A four-day auction of the equipment of former steelmaker RG Steel LLC’s Warren, Ohio, facility is set to start March 12.

The auction, handled by Vancouver, British Columbia-based Maynards Industries Ltd. in conjunction with Hamilton, Ohio-based Myron Bowling Auctioneers Inc., will include welding machines, pipe benders, slitting lines, annealing furnaces and a heavy-gauge hot-dip galvanizing line, among others. However, no hot-strip mill assets will be for sale, according to Myron’s website.

Interested parties had the option to walk through the facility and inspect items March 11.

The owner of the steelmaking facility, BDM Warren Steel Holdings LLC, told AMM earlier this year that it would sell off spare and excess assets on the finishing side but nothing related to the hot side of the mill (amm.com, Jan. 11).
