NEW YORK — Gerdau Long Steel North America has raised its published prices for most angles, channels, flats, rounds and squares by $25 per ton ($1.25 per hundredweight) effective with April 1 shipments, according to a March 13 letter to customers.

The price increase comes a day after Nucor Corp. raised its steel reinforcing concrete bar (rebar), merchant bar and structural product prices by a net $25 per ton (, March 13) after AMM’s consumer buying price for shredded auto scrap settled up $35 per ton in Chicago last week (, March 7).
