CHICAGO Aluminium Bahrain BSC (Alba) has joined the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) as it looks to become more involved in what the company said is a growing aluminum market in the United States.
"We are confident that this membership will further serve to enhance our growth strategy in the important North American market and also contribute towards expanding our understanding of new and emerging technologies in further improving our products," Alba chief marketing officer Jean Baptiste Lucas said in a statement.
Boris Santosi, Albas sales and marketing manager for Europe and the Americas, as well as Garry Martin, the companys metallurgy and customer technical assistance manager, were among Albas staff who attended the AEC annual meeting in Orlando, Fla.
Aluminium Bahrain, which has hot metal output capacity of 890,000 tonnes per year, produces aluminum extrusion ingot in either cut-to-length billet form from 500 millimeters long or in long form with a saleable length of up to 7,600 mm, according to the companys website.
