NEW YORK — Whirlpool Corp. is appealing the Commerce Department’s determination in an investigation of imports of large residential washers from South Korea.

Commerce had issued anti-dumping duty orders ranging from 9.29 to 82.41 percent and countervailing duty orders ranging from 1.85 to 72.3 percent on Korean producers/exporters (amm.com, Feb. 14).

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Samsung Electronics Mexico SA de CV and Samsung Electronics America Inc. are appealing the U.S. International Trade Commission’s final affirmative determination in the investigation into the imports from South Korea as well as from Mexico.
