NEW YORK — Allied Tube & Conduit Corp. is in negotiations with employees at its Harvey, Ill., facility to renew a collective bargaining agreement that expires April 10.

"As always, our primary goal continues to be reaching an agreement that meets the mutual needs of employees, customers and stakeholders," a company spokeswoman told AMM via e-mail. "The negotiations at Harvey continue to remain cordial, respectful and in good faith."

The workers at the facility—which makes mechanical and electrical tubing, sprinkler pipe, fence and channel products—are members of United Steelworkers union Local 9777-18.

"Since we have more than a dozen collective bargaining agreements in place at our North America facilities, these types of negotiations are considered a normal part of our operating business," the spokeswoman said.

Allied is a subsidiary of Harvey, Ill.-based Atkore International Holdings Inc.
