SÃO PAULO Brazilian ferroalloys producer Ferbasa recorded net sales of 68.38 million reais ($34.24 million) in February after selling higher tonnages of high-carbon ferrochrome.
Thats up 11.8 percent from 61.13 million reais a year earlier and 10.7 percent above Januarys 61.76 million reais, the company said in a filing with the São Paulo Stock Exchange.
The company sold 22,412 tonnes of ferroalloys in February. High-carbon ferrochrome accounted for 13,201 tonnes of that total, up 3.8 percent year on year; low-carbon ferrochrome, 1,433 tonnes, down 22.2 percent; and ferrosilicon, 7,778 tonnes, down 5.8 percent.
