JMC's Sharon Tube subsidiary officially relaunches

NEW YORK — JMC Steel Group Inc. has officially relaunched Sharon Tube Co., a subsidiary that will be marketing the company’s drawn-over-mandrel (DOM) products.

Sharon specializes in A513 Type 5 and Type 6 DOM tubing and A513 Type 1 electric-resistance weld (ERW) tubing, according to the company.

Industry veteran William Perrine has been tapped to head the new division (, March 12).

Chicago-based JMC is investing $40 million in new DOM equipment to double its capacity and increase its size range.
