NEW YORK Bellhaven Copper
& Gold Inc. director and chief executive officer Patrick
Highsmith has resigned, the company said April 3.
Highsmiths resignation is
effective immediately, though he will work through the end of
April to ensure a smooth transition, the Vancouver, British
Columbia-based exploration company said. He will also serve as
a consultant for a time, the company added.
Bellhaven focuses on copper and gold development projects in
Panama and Colombia. Its flagship project is the La Mina
porphyry gold-copper reserve in the Middle Cauca belt of
Colombia, which Bellhaven has estimated to hold 1.6 million
ounces of gold and 419 million pounds of copper.
