NEW YORK The number of
workers responding to a recent oil spill from an Exxon Mobil
Corp. pipeline in central Arkansas has climbed to 640 from 120
initially, the company said.
About 140 claims have been filed so far as a result of the
leak, which has been categorized as "major" by the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency.
Between 3,500 and 5,000 barrels of oil are estimated to have
leaked following a pipeline failure March 29.
