NEW YORK — Glencore International Plc and CCMA LLC paid a total of $1.25 million for a combined 1,000 short tons of high-carbon ferrochrome from DLA Strategic Materials in March. The agency refused to disclose the specific quantity purchased or the price paid by each company.

Buffalo, N.Y.-based trading house CCMA is separate from Calvert City, Ky.-based CC Metals & Alloys LLC.

No sales were recorded for the 1.68 million pounds of low-carbon ferrochrome—840,000 pounds of 0.13-percent carbon ferrochrome and 840,000 pounds of 0.15-percent material—offered out of the DLA’s Point Pleasant, W.Va., depot (amm.com, March 19).

The agency also didn’t record any sales in its offering of 2,000 short tons of 76.76-percent high-carbon ferromanganese from the domestic market and 1,145 tons of 76.45-percent material from Japan (amm.com, Feb. 13).
