NEW YORK — MesoCoat Inc. expects its pipe coating facility in Euclid, Ohio, to be fully operational by the end of the month, a company spokesman told AMM via e-mail.

Construction of the facility, which began in April 2011, was completed recently. Trial production is set to kick off next week, while the facility will officially open April 26, the company said.

The subsidiary of Miami-based Abakan Inc. initially planned to complete the facility as early as September 2011 (amm.com, April 6, 2011).

"We were delayed because of certain supplier issues, which (have) now been resolved," the spokesman said.

One line from the facility is ultimately expected to produce $60 million worth of clad pipe per year, Abakan said previously.
