PITTSBURGH — Browder Metal Recycling is seeking to open a metals recycling facility in Knoxville, Tenn.

The company has approached the Knoxville-Knox County Metropolitan Planning Commission to have a 4.5-acre parcel rezoned to heavy industrial and industrial use from light industrial and agricultural/rural residential.

The land is owned by SK Land LLC. If the request is approved by the planning commission, the matter will be reviewed May 28 by the Knox County Commission. No other information was available.
