CHICAGO — Mark Askew, vice president of marketing for Metro International Trade Services LLC, has resigned from the company effective April 11.

Chief commercial officer Michael Whelan told AMM April 11 that he would be handling Askew’s accounts until a replacement is found.

Whelan said he had worked with Askew for about 15 years.

"Mark is moving on to explore other opportunities, and we certainly wish him well," Whelan said. "As far as handling daily sales and marketing, Mark and I have worked together (and) we have the same clients, so it’s pretty seamless."

The Romulus, Mich.-based warehouse operator specializes in storing nonferrous metals for the London Metal Exchange, according to its website.
