NEW YORK — DLA Strategic Materials is again offering 1,000 short tons of high-carbon ferrochrome and 1.68 million pounds of low-carbon ferrochrome from its Point Pleasant, W.Va., depot.

The low-carbon material is composed of 840,000 pounds of 0.13-percent-carbon ferrochrome and 840,000 pounds of 0.15-percent material. The same material was offered last month (, March 19) but failed to find a buyer.

Glencore International Plc and CCMA LLC paid a total of $1.25 million for a combined 1,000 short tons of high-carbon ferrochrome offered by the DLA in March (, April 8).

Bidding for the domestically sourced material closes at 11:30 a.m. April 17, the Fort Belvoir, Va.-based agency said.
