PITTSBURGH — The owner of Missouri recycler Complete Auto Recycling Services Inc. has been arrested and faces charges of knowingly receiving stolen property.

St. Louis County Police arrested Robert K. Hill on felony charges April 3 for allegedly purchasing half a dozen vehicles that had been reported stolen, a spokesman for the county police force said.

Hill posted $20,000 bond and was released. No future hearing date has been set. The auto theft division of the county police force is handling the matter.

The St. Louis-based business doesn’t have a valid license to operate, according to an April 4 Missouri Department of Revenue list of compliant yards. It is unclear what actions will be taken against the recycler for not being registered, the police spokesman added.

The company declined to comment.
