NEW YORK Allied Tube
& Conduit Corp. has extended its current labor agreement
with workers at its Harvey, Ill., facility through May 10. The
contract had been set to expire April 10 (
amm.com, March 21).
"These discussions remain
cordial, respectful and in good faith," a company spokeswoman
told AMM in an e-mail.
Workers at the facility, which
makes mechanical and electrical tubing, sprinkler pipe, fence
and channel products, are members of United Steelworkers union
Allied Tube is a subsidiary of Harvey, Ill.-based Atkore
International Holdings Inc.
