Allied Tube extends labor agreement

NEW YORK — Allied Tube & Conduit Corp. has extended its current labor agreement with workers at its Harvey, Ill., facility through May 10. The contract had been set to expire April 10 (amm.com, March 21).

"These discussions remain cordial, respectful and in good faith," a company spokeswoman told AMM in an e-mail.

Workers at the facility, which makes mechanical and electrical tubing, sprinkler pipe, fence and channel products, are members of United Steelworkers union Local 9777-18.

Allied Tube is a subsidiary of Harvey, Ill.-based Atkore International Holdings Inc.
