CPTI elects board officers

NEW YORK — The Committee on Pipe and Tube Imports (CPTI) has elected two board of director officers for 2013-14.

John P. Stupp, chief executive officer of Baton Rouge, La.-based Stupp Corp., was elected CPTI chairman, succeeding Edward Kurasz, executive vice president of sales at Harvey, Ill.-based Allied Tube & Conduit Corp. Stupp previously was vice chairman of the Washington-based trade group.

Douglas Polk, vice president of industry affairs at Houston-based Vallourec & Mannesmann USA Corp., was elected vice chairman. of the CPTI, which represents the interests of U.S. pipe, tube and fittings producers, including supporting fair-trade legislation.
