Lucas-Milhaupt buys brazing firm

NEW YORK — Lucas-Milhaupt Inc., a subsidiary of Handy & Harman Ltd., has acquired Wolverine Joining Technologies, a subsidiary of Wolverine Tube Inc.

Warwick, R.I.-based Wolverine Joining Technologies manufactures silver- and copper-based brazing and soldering filler metals and fluxes for the appliance, construction and metalworking industries.

The acquisition "increases (Lucas-Milhaupt’s) capacity to produce brazing filler metals and fluxes and broadens its platform for continued global expansion," White Plains, N.Y.-based Handy & Harman said.
