LOS ANGELES — Ducommun Inc. has received a contract extension from Boeing Co. to provide spoilers for the Boeing next-generation 737 single-aisle airliner.

The Ducommun AeroStructures group will make the spoilers—flight-control systems that reduce lift in an aircraft—at the company’s Monrovia, Calif., facility, with support from Ducommun’s operations in Orange, Calif., and Guaymas, Mexico.

Ducommun chairman, president and chief executive officer Anthony J. Reardon noted that the company has produced spoilers for Chicago-based Boeing for nearly 50 years.

Carson, Calif.-based Ducommun declined to provide further details about the contract.
